If you’re visiting Oklahoma City for the weekend, Bricktown is certainly a must-visit destination. And if you live in OKC and still haven’t visited, what are you waiting for? If you’re looking for things to do in Oklahoma City: with delicious food, great shopping, awesome live music, some pretty cool museums – oh and a team you may have heard of, the Oklahoma City Thunder – there is certainly going to be something for everyone – unless your idea of fun is watching the paint dry. Without further ado, let us introduce you to the coolest spot to hang out in Oklahoma City.
Chesapeake Energy Arena
Home to your Oklahoma City Thunder and some of the best concerts in the state of Oklahoma, the energy in this place gets pretty electric – seriously, no pun intended, they do petroleum and natural gas. Throughout the month, you can look forward to NBA action as the Thunder continue their push up the Western Conference standings. You can find the Thunder schedule for 2016, HERE. However, if you’re looking for something that you can’t do every week, you can check out one of two great shows, as Luke Bryan and Dave Matthews Band will be playing on May 14 and May 17.
Chevy Bricktown Events Center
The Events Center is another incredible place to experience live music in OKC. This weekend, you can sing along to “Rockin’ the Suburbs,” with Ben Folds – formerly of Ben Folds Five – April 16.
Food is Wonderful
If you live in OKC, great, you have plenty of time to explore all the tasty places available to satisfy your hunger in Bricktown. If you’re just visiting, unless you’re there all month, there are just too many fantastic places to eat – said nobody ever. Pizza, steak, Mexican food, fondue, sushi, and more all here for your dining pleasure.
Nightlife is Exciting
Other than being the home of the Thunder, nightlife is probably what Bricktown is known best for. Gather up your friends for a fun-filled evening of amazing food and drinks. One of the coolest spots to hangout in this area has got to be The Mantel Wine Bar and Bistro. You can expect to pay a premium here, but when you’re experiencing a place that has won the same award as New York City’s Tavern on the Green, Emeril’s in New Orleans and The Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco, it’s definitely worth it.
Shopping is Fun
Whether you’re trying to find the perfect gift for someone – or yourself, the Painted Door or the Red Dirt Emporium is sure to have whatever you’re looking for and plenty that you’re not. Got a camping trip coming up? Bass Pro Shop has everything you need for the outdoors. Or check out the minor league Oklahoma City Dodgers gift shop for you baseball fans.
That was a pretty high overview of a place that you truly have to experience to really know just how much enjoyment there is. Oklahoma City, you have better and more exciting things to do than worry about washer and dryer maintenance like cheering on your Thunder, or enjoying all the great food and live music Bricktown has to offer. So, enjoy yourself and let us worry about the refrigerator or dishwasher repair. If you’re looking for appliance repair in OKC or the surrounding area, give us a call at 844.3.GUINCO or contact us HERE. As always, Thank You For Letting Our Family Help Yours!
